Our Services

Progressive Job Solutions (PJS) is a division of Carmel Community Living Corporation that provides career planning, training and assessment for people with abilities, including:

•    Vocational Assessment: Discovering which job is best suited for each individual.

•    Pre-Employment Skills: Writing a resume, training in job seeking and interviewing skills, personal appearance and completing a job application.

Progressive Job Solutions works extensively with the
Colorado Division for Vocational Rehabilitation all along the Front Range, providing Situational Assessments and job placement.

Carmel is an approved vocational service provider for the 8 Community Center Boards throughout all of the regions we serve.

Carmel also provides school-to-work transitional community experiences for several school districts in the Pikes Peak region, and is in the process of expanding this service.

Integrated into Carmel Day Program, PJS offers an
"Employment First" training-based opportunity. Its staff
supports participants with all levels of abilities and skills
to learn more about the work environment -- from appearance and social interactions at work to field trips at potential work sites.

Like the rest of Carmel, PJS places high priority on promoting individual dignity, independence, quality of life and choices.

•    Job Development: Assistance with applying, interviewing for and obtaining a job.

•    Job Coaching: On-the-job training, monitoring successes and challenges, providing support, direction and encouragement for as long as needed.

•    Job Follow-up: Follow along support, direct and encouragement through regularly scheduled visits to ensure problem solving, communication and retention.

•    Crews: Individuals work in small groups, supervised by a PJS staff person, doing a job in the community.

•    Transportation: Provide or arrange transportation, or provide training in using a bus to make sure individuals are able to get to and from work.

•    Continuing Education: Assistance in preparing for future goals, learning a new trade or skill, professional development through care, local community colleges or other educational resources.
