Our Services
Supported Living Service

The purpose of SLS and CES is to provide some level of needed services to people who are not in a comprehensive residential program. Participants may be children or adults, and may live with their families or independently. Services may be only a few hours a month, or several hours a day.


CCLC can provide assistance and training in the following areas:

» Mentorship, including problem solving and self advocacy
» Community Access
» Financial Management
» Nutritional Counseling
» Menu Planning / Cooking
» Reading / Academic Skills
» Personal Grooming
» Housekeeping
» Safety
» Medical Care and Therapies
» Exercise and Health Care
» Child Care
» Recreation
» Vocational/Day Program
» Supervision (Respite)

Services can be scheduled at the person’s convenience and can be provided at the person's residence or in the community.
Community Access can involve helping the person find and participate in recreational or educational activities, including learning how to take the bus or access alternate transportation.

SLS can pay for, and Carmel can provide assistance in accessing, some dental, medical and vision care and home modifications.

Supervision (Respite) may be available for families who need care for their family member either occasionally or on a regular basis. This can be done at the family home or at another location.
