Volunteer at one of our regions!

Do you have a willing heart, a desire to work with individuals who have developmental, cognitive, intellectual, or other disabilities, and some time during the day?  Or maybe you are thinking about pursuing a career in this field.  If so, we invite you to become a volunteer with one of our Day Programs.  We currently have volunteer positions Monday through Thursday in our Denver and Northern regions and Monday through Friday in our Boulder and Colorado Springs regions.

As a volunteer, you will join our staff as they take those we provide services for on activities throughout the community.  Daily adventures can consist of such events as bowling, swimming, visiting the library or local museum, touring various sights in Colorado, and participating in volunteer placements at organizations such as Habitat for Humanity or Meals on Wheels.
   
If you are able to donate your time to provide others with support and friendship, please contact a Day Program Manager near you.  It is a great opportunity to get some experience working with folks with disabilities, a wonderful way to give back to your community, and a perfect place to make new friends.  It can also be a step toward a job with Carmel, as many of our employees started off as volunteers.
