Carmel’s Northern Region is our largest in area – bigger than Rhode Island and Connecticut combined – so we have two fully-staffed offices: one in Greeley and the other in Ft. Collins.  From these locations, we offer a full range of services: Residential, Day Program, Vocational, SLS and CES.  Despite having a vast area to cover, our staff maintains a warm, small-town, friendly atmosphere, matching those we serve with resources available in their communities.  

Unique to Carmel, the Northern Region manages a residence for adjudicated sex offenders in Larimer County.  Our around-the-clock staff are well trained through a Colorado Sex Offender Management Board-approved training program, and they receive continuous, on-going supports from Carmel and from the residents’ therapists.

Larimer County also has a growing Community Participation program for people who need one-to-one staff supports.  Our employees use their creative abilities to develop individualized meaningful and productive programs and activities for these folks who might not fit the mold of typical day programs.

Our Day Program in Frederick serves people who live in the southwestern part of Weld County, as well as eastern Boulder and northern Adams Counties.  It is a challenge to develop community activities in this rural setting, but our staff does a great job of connecting participants with resources in their home area.  

The Northern Region holds regularly scheduled Pot Luck Dinners for the people we serve, their families and friends, and our staff and providers.  This party atmosphere allows folks to mingle and share ideas and feelings, away from structured activities and programs – getting to know each other as people separate from their “roles” as client or service provider.

Envision, the CCB for Weld County, is the only CCB we serve that allows service agencies to have Supported Living Consultants (SLC) as part of their SLS program.  Sukii Kolinske of our Greeley office has been with Carmel since the SLS program started there 9 years ago, and is one of the original SLCs.  This Region also boasts some other long-term staff members:  five employees and four Host Home Providers have been with Carmel for the past 8 to 10 years.
