Julius Monge - Chairman
Julius was Carmel’s President and General Manager for fifteen years and until his retirement in late 2007. He continues his long-standing commitment to persons with disabilities by volunteering his time to state-wide activities with the Alliance organization where he is a Past President and also continues to donate his time to Carmel as its Chairman of the Board of Directors. Julius enjoyed successful careers in senior management from other industries, and has over forty-seven years of business experience. Since joining Carmel, the corporation has grown from providing services in one county in Colorado to fourteen counties along the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains. Company operations continue to expand into new markets to meet the ever changing public need with support from private, state and federal programs. Julius has championed efforts to obtain increased service funding to enable our citizens on Colorado’s waiting lists to achieve their rightful and dignified place in our society with the highest quality services from a company such as Carmel.
Education includes a BS in General Engineering from the University of Illinois, Masters of Business Management (MSN) from Lake Forest College Graduate School of Management and a post graduate degree from the Advanced Management Program (AMP) at Harvard University. He is active in the developmentally disabled community through the Colorado Association of Community Centered Boards and Service Provider Organizations and is a Past President of the state-wide Alliance Organization.
